Amber Heard has confirmed under oath that her starring role in “Aquaman 2” has been drastically diminished.
The 36-year-old actress claimed during her contentious defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp that Warner Bros. “didn’t want to include me” in the DC Comics sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
Heard noted during the trial that she was “actively scheduling timing for filming” the superhero movie up until Depp’s legal team reportedly launched a campaign against her.

“I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving any spoilers away, two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a bunch out of my role,” she told the Fairfax, Virginia, courtroom. “They just removed a bunch out.”
Heard reportedly only has about 10 minutes of screen time in the “Aquaman” sequel.EPAHeard stars opposite Jason Momoa as the water warrior Princess Mera in the sequel to 2018’s “Aquaman.” She has since appeared in the other DC franchise, “Zach Snyder’s Justice League.”
Heard earned $1 million for “Aquaman” and revealed in court that she will pocket twice as much for the sequel.
The Texas native has a three-picture deal in her contract, with “Aquaman 2” as the third film in the agreement. However, she alleged that the role in the film was “a very pared-down version.”
Earlier this month, film journalist Grace Randolph reported on Twitter that Heard has “less than 10 min of screen time” in the upcoming film.

“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from ‘Aquaman 2,’ ” Depp fan Jeanne Larson wrote in the Change.org description of the petition, which she created back in 2020.
Several stars are supporting Heard, including shock jock Howard Stern and actress Ellen Barkin. Figures such as Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston and Joe Rogan are in Depp’s corner.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is set to be released on March 17, 2023.
