Aaron Rodgers’ T-shirt fuels controversial NFL coach ‘hotness’ poll

Sure, there may be a list of the hottest NFL coaching candidates to fill would-be roles next season, but there’s also a new ranking as to which of the current coaches gets the temperatures rising. Seriously.

Ahead of Sunday’s outing against the Vikings, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers proudly flaunted his pre-game attire, a T-shirt featuring coach Matt LaFleur’s mug with the very important PSA: “Our coach is hotter than yours.”

This particular moment spawned a poll for the ages, “The NFL Head Coach Hotness Poll,” which has since taken over Twitter. The methodology, according to a disclaimer at the bottom of the chart states, “A poll of 316 women ranking how ‘hot’ each NFL head coach is on a scale from 1 to 10 based on the first ten photos returned by Google Images.”

Reddit user codesherpa found that Rodgers’ initial assessment of LaFleur was correct, as he took the top spot followed by Dolphins coach Brian Flores and rookie Jets coach Rober Saleh. Kliff Kingsbury of the Cardinals and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin rounded out the top five.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy and Mike Zimmer of the Vikings fell into the bottom five, along with the Ron Rivera of the Washington Football Team and the Panthers’ Matt Rhule. Denver coach Vic Fangio ranked last, according to the poll.

Unsurprisingly, there were some disagreements as to where certain coaches ranked.

“Dan Campbell should be at least top 7,” one user said of the Lions coach, who came in at No. 12.

“Uhhh how is he in the bottom 10??” another griped of Colts coach Frank Reich, who took the No. 27 spot.

Meanwhile, another fan assessed where Patriots coach Bill Belichick ranked compared to the Browns’ Kevin Stefanski.

“NFL Coach Hotness Poll: Belichick one click behind Stefanski is unexpected but…look at Andy Reid making moves!” the user added of the Chiefs coach.

As for Packers fans, they seemed to approve of Rodgers’ initial message about LaFleur.

“He’s not wrong. Love it,” one previously wrote on Instagram, while another then declared, “Our coach is literally ryan reynolds.”
