‘A Christmas Dance Reunion’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Lifetime’s “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” programming event continues tonight with the premiere of “A Christmas Dance Reunion,” starring Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu.

This film is a truly special treat for fans, as it brings about the long-awaited reunion of its stars. While fans haven’t seen them together on the screen for anything on Lifetime, anyone familiar with the Disney Channel will certainly recognize them both Bleu and Coleman as two of the breakout stars from “High School Musical,” “High School Musical 2” and “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” In the films, the pair portrayed eventual couple Chad Danforth and Taylor McKessie.

Since their times in the Disney franchise, they have both gone on to several other different roles, with Bleu recently starring in the Hallmark Channel film “Love, For Real,” as well as “Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn The Broadway Musical.” Coleman has also recently starred in the films “Steppin’ Back to Love” and “I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story.”

However, this marks their first time acting together since their days as Chad and Taylor. So what can fans expect? Let’s find out.

“Successful attorney Lucy Mortimer (Coleman), along with her mother Virginia (Kim Roberts) returns to the Winterleigh Resort to help celebrate the hotel’s final Christmas season,” a synopsis reads. “Once there, Lucy is reunited with the owner’s nephew and her childhood Christmas Dance partner, Barrett Brewster (Bleu).”

Once there, Lucy quickly encourages everyone to bring back the beloved events she remembers from her childhood to truly honor the resort’s magic, including the Dance where she and Barrett used to star. However, working with him again could lead her to struggle as she determines her next steps after the holidays.

“Lucy must decide if she’s willing to take a risk on love and partner up once more with Barrett for what could be the last Christmas Dance,” the synopsis concludes.

“A Christmas Dance Reunion” airs Friday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
